This spacious charming lodge is located in Engelhard. Boasting five bedrooms and two baths, this house could easily accommodate two families or a large group. We are pet friendly. Renters are responsible for any pet damage. There is a beautiful farm across from the lodge that has black Angus cows, horses and a small pond. Pamlico Sound is just down the street. Lake Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge (full of trails suited for hiking or biking) and Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge are both just a few miles away. The beaches of the OBX are 45 minutes away, including Kitty Hawk, NC Aquarium @ Manteo, Wright Brothers Memorial, Jennette's Fishing Pier, and The Lost Colony. Historic Bath is an hour away where you can learn more about Black Beard. Swan Quarter National Wildlife Refuge is 30 minutes away. Pungo National Wildlife Refuge is about 45 minutes. Eco Tours are available at neighboring townships. Charter boats and hunting guides are for hire in the area.
