President Trump says the tariffs will encourage investment in U.S. factories, but analysts say car buyers will have to pay thousands more.

Auto repair shops across metro Atlanta are preparing for car parts to get more expensive and harder to get as President Donald Trump imposes tariffs on auto imports. Channel 2′s Audrey Washington was in Conyers where she spoke with owners of an auto shop who say some parts could be delayed for months.

While those in the auto industry are still unsure of what 25% tariffs on cars and auto parts could mean, some say it will likely bring more people to buy used cars and hang onto them for longer.
