A man armed with a rifle rammed a vehicle into what is believed to be the nation’s largest Reform Jewish synagogue in a Detroit suburb on Thursday and was fatally shot by security personnel, according to the Associated Press.
Temple Israel, the scene of an active shooter incident Thursday afternoon, is a major Reform synagogue on Walnut Lake Road in West Bloomfield. The Metro Detroit suburb is in Oakland County, in Southeast Michigan.
