Thousands of "No Kings Day" protests are set to be held throughout the country on Saturday to protest the Trump administration.

A 33-mile trip from one protest in Annapolis, Md., to the parade grandstand in front of the White House was like a journey between two different countries.

The anti-Trump protests in Austin remained peaceful, despite a 'credible threat' that forced a brief evacuation of the Texas Capitol complex.

Durhamites took to the streets as part of a National Day of Action, challenging the Trump administration approach to free speech, immigration and the military, among other reasons.

Social media users slammed CBS News for seemingly advertising "No Kings Day" protest merchandise ahead of anti-Trump demonstrations, calling the move unethical amid controversies.

Also in North Dakota – it’s estimated that 1,700 people turned up in Bismarck, while smaller protests were held in Grand Forks, Jamestown, Bottineau, Devils Lake, Dickinson, Williston and Minot.

A marcher critically wounded in a shooting at Salt Lake City’s 10,000-strong “No Kings” protest on Saturday night has died, police reported Sunday afternoon. “Our victim was not the intended target,” Salt Lake City Police Chief Brian Redd said, “but rather an innocent bystander participating in the demonstration”

A bystander was fatally shot after security members at the demonstration confronted a man who was running toward the crowd with an AR-15-style rifle, the police said.

"I'm really surprised and my heart is warmed by how many people are here," 18-year-old Lea Sribar said of the demonstration at the heart of a Republican-majority county.
