Phoenix police have arrested two suspects in connection to a deadly shooting at a gas station early Friday morning.Police say two men have been identified and are in the process of being booked into jail on homicide and armed robbery charges.

PHOENIX — A suspect was fatally shot by Phoenix police officers early Wednesday morning after they allegedly hid in a trash can and started shooting at officers. The shooting happened around 1:45 a.m. in a neighborhood near 19th and Southern avenues.

A suspect was shot and killed by police in a south Phoenix residential area early Wednesday, authorities said.

The 72-year-old great-grandmother, who everyone called Granny, was a victim of what her family says was a drive-by shooting while she was on her porch that evening. Her sons, multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren are baffled by why the beloved matriarch was taken from them.
