Japan had a huge third inning to re-take the lead against Venezuela. Sosuke Genda walked to lead-off the inning then Kenya Wakatsuki bunted to move him the second. With first open Venezuela intentionally walked Shohei Ohtani. Then Teruaki Sato doubled home Genda to tie the game. Shota Morishita then hit a home run to give Japan a 5-2 lead.
