The Rays acquired veteran pitcher Adrian Houser from the White Sox in an effort bolster their starting rotation.

The White Sox have traded right-hander Adrian Houser to the Rays for infielder Curtis Mead and a pair of prospects, according to reports Thursday.

General manager Chris Getz said Curtis Mead, Duncan Davitt and Ben Peoples could join the White Sox major league team in the near future.
