According to the scientists, the virus was found in a lab and has not been seen in humans and there is no need to panic as it does not spread to humans easily.

Researchers at Wuhan lab discovered a new bat coronavirus, HKU5-CoV-2, which shares entry pathways with SARS-CoV-2 but poses limited risk to humans.

HKU5-CoV-2 — can spread to humans like Covid-19, said experts on Saturday, raising fresh health concerns. HKU5-CoV-2 was identified by a team of Chinese virologists led by Shi Zhengli, a renowned scientist at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.
