Two of Jackie and Shadow's three eggs, located in a nest atop a tree near Big Bear Lake, appear to be hatching. The hatching comes three years to the date of the eagle couple's last successful hatch.

Loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta) are the most common nesting turtle here, although green, Kemp's ridley and leatherbacks have nested here.
