Waze users on Android Auto are reporting that the journey information box disappears when switching to full-screen mode.

The change is rather simple. Through Google Maps on Android Auto, a new “driving avatar” setting appears alongside settings for home/work and alerts. Tapping it gives you the option to pick your avatar and change it to the color of your choice. It’s the same functionality found on your phone, just now accessible directly via the car’s display.
