The Philippines curling team has been rocking it in China, claiming the tropical country’s first Asian Winter Games medal with a victory in the men’s final against South Korea.

History was made on Friday as the Philippine men’s curling team took home the country’s first Asian Winter Games gold medal in Harbin, China.

The Philippines won gold after winning the final against South Korea. This year’s Games are the first to which Hong Kong has sent a curling team. The city has appeared in six previous Asian Winter Games, going back to the first in Sapporo in 1986, but never won a medal.
