AEP Texas crews are working to restore power across the Coastal Bend after severe overnight storms caused outages in several areas.

A power outage at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas, caused the Titan rollercoaster to stop mid-air on Saturday, May 16, briefly leaving riders stranded before they were seen walking down steep steps in a video shared online.

Some of the outages were related to weather, while others indicated that the cause was still being assessed by crews.

A scheduled eight-hour power outage in Jasper begins at 10 p.m. Saturday as crews work on the metering system, with increased patrols planned to ensure safety.
