The bond market was closed Monday for the Columbus Day holiday. Oil prices moved up, as West Texas Intermediate futures traded around $59.80 a barrel. Among exchange traded funds, the Invesco QQQ TrustQQQ rose 1.7%. Also, the SPDR S&P 500 ETFSPY moved up 1.1% ahead of Monday's market open.
Four of the country’s biggest lenders are set to report third-quarter earnings before Wall Street’s opening bell, including JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Citi and Wells Fargo. BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, is also due to deliver results.
