DENVER — The Colorado Avalanche earned a virtual victory Wednesday night, rallying from a two-goal deficit to defeat the Dallas Stars 4–2 in NHL 26 simulation action. Colorado got goals from Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, and Parker Kelly, while Scott Wedgewood turned aside 27 shots to backstop the comeback effort.

For the third time in as many meetings this season, the Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars needed a shootout to decide matters. And for the second time, the Stars prevailed at Ball Arena. Wyatt Johnston had the lone goal of the one-on-one contest in a 2-1 win for the visitors.
