Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Peter Obi, today, Wednesday, January 22, visited Niger State to commiserate with victims and families affected by the recent petrol tanker explosion along the Dikko-Maje Road in Suleja.

Following the directive of President Bola Tinubu for the swift transfer of victims of the Suleja fuel tanker explosion to tertiary medical centers for enhanced medical attention, 20 patients have been admitted to Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital in Abuja,

The death toll from a petrol tanker explosion in north-central Nigeria has risen to 98, the country’s emergency response agency said. The blast happened in the early hours of Saturday near the Suleja area of Niger state after individuals attempted to transfer petrol from a crashed oil tanker into another truck using a generator.
