PORTLAND, Ore (KOIN) — The officers who shot and killed a man outside a Vancouver home in late December have been named.

A late-night police pursuit Wednesday ended with the suspect crashing her car into a Washington State Patrol vehicle on the Interstate 205 Bridge. Two people were injured, including a trooper.

The need for increased staffing at the Vancouver Police Department is clear; the question then becomes how best to pay for the training and retention of more officers to enhance public safety.

Police are investigating after an armed robbery at a Vancouver convenience store on Sunday night.
