Pier 16 berths closed after a boat struck the Nimitz Highway bridge; waters off-limits while DOT evaluates repairs.

State officials today said they have closed the berths at Pier 16 at Honolulu Harbor indefinitely after a fishing boat recently struck the bridge infrastructure supporting Nimitz Highway.

The waters surrounding Pier 16 are also closed to all vessel traffic.
