Scattered snow showers arrive after 2 P.M. Saturday from southwest to northeast, followed by a transition to sleet and freezing rain until around 3 A.M.
Overnight, the first round of freezing rain in Northeast Ohio in two years glazed cars, roads, trees, power lines and more with one- to two-tenths of an inch of ice, creating a chaotic commute.
Thursday’s snowfall did not match up to Wednesday night’s forecasts, which prompted nearly 100 Mass. schools to close.
