A man who was shot by police in Kansas City has been charged with multiple felonies as he continues to recover in an area hospital.

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas pointed out multiple accomplishments by the city in the past year and looked at maintaining a focus on public safety.

Detectives are making headway in identifying a person of interest in connection with this incident, however, no suspects are in custody.
