President Donald Trump signed multiple immigration executive orders upon arrival to the Oval Office Monday evening. He signed an order to attempt to end birthright citizenship, declared a national emergency at the country's southern border and suspended the refugee admissions program, amid a flurry of predicted immigration moves.

Promised words to secure the border were put on paper and into action within minutes of President Donald Trump’s second term, declaring a national emergency at the U.S.

Shortly after Trump took the oath of office on Monday, he pledged a flurry of actions surrounding immigration and deportation. His stack of orders have left immigrant advocacy organizations in Connecticut scrambling to figure out just what exactly they mean and how he will actually carry them out.
