The Broncos and their newly-named starting quarterback, Jarrett Stidham, will face the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game next weekend. Denver will host its first AFC championship game in a decade.

According to ESPN’s league insider, Adam Schefter, the Denver Broncos are opening the practice window for running back JK Dobbins. He suffered a foot/Lisfranc injury that was considered season-ending at the time,

The Patriots were favored by 5.5 points on BetMGM and by 4.5 on ESPN when the lines opened after New England’s win over the Houston Texans on Sunday. MGM now has Patriots as +250 to win the Super Bowl, second only to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Denver Broncos have reportedly signed a new quarterback after losing Bo Nix to a season-ending ankle injury.

The Buffalo Bills fired their head coach on Monday, less than two days after losing to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Divisional game.

With Bo Nix now out, and surgery scheduled for Tuesday, Stidham will take his place on Sunday and, should the Broncos win that game, in the Super Bowl on Feb. 8 too.

A former undrafted free agent, Nelson joined the Broncos in July and, after being waived at final cuts, was promptly stashed on the practice squad. He did not appear in a regular-season game nor in Denver's Divisional Round victory over the Buffalo Bills last week.
