The Dragon Bravo Fire was active on Saturday due to hot, dry weather conditions, according to an incident update on Sunday.

On Saturday, Gov. Katie Hobbs visited the Dragon Bravo Fire site, one week after the fire took a destructive turn and destroyed around 70 buildings, including the historic Grand Canyon Lodge.

GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. — Gov. Katie Hobbs toured the destruction left by a wildfire along the Grand Canyon’s North Rim, on Saturday, surveying what she described as devastating damage.

Near the North Rim fire scene on July 19, Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs said repeatedly she was not second-guessing the response.
