Marty Callner, a legendary director of music videos, stand-up specials and creator of HBO docuseries "Hard Knocks," dies at 78.

Marty Callner, director of dozens of classic MTV-era music videos as well as numerous comedy specials and creator of HBO’s Hard Knocks, has peacefully passed away at his home in Malibu.

Callner's family confirmed his death to Rolling Stone, adding that he died of natural causes at his home in Malibu. Silverstone left a gushing tribute on Instagram. 'Marty was truly one of a kind.
