Department of Defense (DOD) officials under Secretary Pete Hegseth who were previously placed on administrative leave this week have been fired, according to a statement from the individual issued on Saturday and media reports on Friday.

The Pentagon did not disclose specifics for the suspensions of Dan Caldwell and Darin Selnick because the matter is under investigation.

A second top official has been ousted from Pete Hegseth’s Pentagon following a probe into potential leaks. The Pentagon’s deputy chief of staff, Darin Selnick, was suspended from his post and escorted out of the building,
