A 17-year-old boy died Thursday after being shot the day before, according to the Alexandria Police Department.

Hiker Hannah Moody, 31, was found dead following a search at the McDowell Sonoran Preserve in Scottsdale, Arizona.

A retirement reception was held at Pineville High School for Dr. Karl Carpenter who retired after 45 years as an educator.
