Former Padres outfielder Jurickson Profar and the Braves agreed on a three-year, $42 million contract Thursday.
The once highly touted Texas Rangers prospect is coming off a career year with the San Diego Padres, where he hit .280 with 24 home runs and 85 RBIs, earning an All-Star nod and a Silver Slugger.
Since winning the World Series in 2021, the Braves have struggled to get back to the top of the sport. They've made the playoffs in the past three seasons but haven't made it past the Division Series.
