WHITESIDE Co., Ill. (KWQC) - One person was killed and two others were injured after a two-car crash on Illinois Route 84, deputies said. Two vehicles crashed about 9:21 p.m. Thursday on Illinois Route 84 near Spring Valley Road, according to a media release from the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office.
Illinois State Police said they responded to a three-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of I-55 at 3:46 a.m. Romeoville police said a red Ford Fusion was speeding west on Frontage Road alongside the interstate when it hit a curve and went airborne through the barrier and onto the highway.

Driver hospitalized after car plunges 20 feet below Illinois Route 6
A woman was taken to an area hospital after her vehicle left the roadway and overturned on Illinois Route 6, striking a concrete wall head-on and sending her about 50-75 feet over a stream.
ISP said a passenger car left the road and struck a utility pole. The driver died at the scene. No details about the victim’s identity or what led up to the crash are being released at this time.
