Sharks recall San Jose Barracuda’s top scoring defenseman
SAN JOSE — The San Jose Sharks recalled defenseman Luca Cagnoni, one of the AHL’s top scoring defensemen, from the San Jose Barracuda on Tuesday. Cagnoni, listed at 5-foot-9, 180 pounds, has been an offensive dynamo in the AHL this season 47 points, including 34 assists, in 56 games with the Barracuda in his first year of professional hockey.
Sharks Recall Top Scoring Defenseman From AHL
The rookie defenseman has 47 points (13 goals, 47 assists) in 56 games this season. The defenseman is third in the entire AHL in rookie scoring and is second in points by defenseman overall. The Sharks have recalled Luca Cagnoni from the @sjbarracuda.
Sharks Foundation and Kaiser Permanente donated $30,000 to the Special Olympics Northern California floor hockey program.
From when they entered the league in 1991 to 2019, the San Jose Sharks missed the playoffs just six times. Now, they've missed the playoffs for six consecutive seasons dating back to 2020.
