Former England football captain David Beckham, Oscar-winning actor Gary Oldman and The Who front man Roger Daltrey are among the prominent figures awarded knighthoods in this year’s King’s Birthday Honours list.

David Howden has been honoured in King Charles’ Birthday Honours list. The founder and chief executive of UK broker Howden has been awarded a CBE for services to the insurance industry. He started his career as a broker at Alexander Howden in 1981 and then founded Howden in 1994, originally as a wholesale broker employing just three people.

Roger Daltrey was among the notable figures recognized in King Charles III’s Birthday Honours list. The Who frontman, 81, was celebrated for his outstanding contributions to music and his long-standing charitable work — particularly with the Teenage Cancer Trust, where he has served as a patron since 2000.
