Joann Fabrics and Crafts announced it would close roughly 530 stores, including six West Michigan locations, earlier this month. Fabric and crafts retailer Joann Fabrics filed for a second bankruptcy this week, announcing the closure of nearly 500 stores nationwide.

According to a court filing Wednesday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware, the Hudson, Ohio-based company outlined more than 500 store closures out of about 800 locations across the country, including the locations in Michigan. Joann filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last month, its second such filing within a year.
