Three Castle Rock Fire Department members deployed to southern California on Wednesday to support firefighters battling large wildfires around Los Angeles.

Bernalillo, San Juan and Los Alamos Counties, as well as the cities of Albuquerque and Santa Fe, will be deployed to Southern California on Thursday morning

Several states have responded to calls for help, sending fire crews to California to combat wildfires in Los Angeles. Firefighters from neighboring states are already on the ground helping to contain the growing blaze.

On Wednesday night, the Castle Rock Fire and Rescue Department announced three of their own were on the way to California to battle the wildfires.

Members of the Red Cross from Oregon and Southwest Washington will fly out of International Airport on Thursday to offer support as members in California set up shelters to assist people who were forced to flee their homes.
