South Korean authorities have granted a request to extend a warrant to detain the country’s suspended President Yoon Suk Yeol for questioning over his surprise declaration of martial law last month.

Hundreds of South Koreans rallied overnight into Sunday near the residence of impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol, calling for his ouster and arrest.

An arrest warrant has been re-issued for South Korea's impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol. The Corruption Investigation Office for High-Ranking Officials has not confirmed how long the warrant will remain valid.
