Nov 7, 2023 · During the latest Nintendo Fiscal Report Q&A, Nintendo's President Shuntaro Furukawa addressed the latest rumors. In the Japanese Publication Mainichi he not only denied the existence of the Switch 2 but stated that the rumors were "inaccurate" and that the new system was not shown off to a "specific software maker in 2022" (Activision rumors).

Shuntaro Furukawa has only been President of Nintendo Co. Ltd for almost a year now, and so far it doesn't seem too much different from the Kimishima era, which wasn't that much different from the Iwata era as Kimishima was only ever meant to be a stopgap CEO to keep Nintendo afloat until a proper successor to Iwata could be found.
