HAPPENING NOW - Major Emergency Structure Fire in #DowntownLA: Firefighters continue to fight this commercial fire in defensive mode. A heavy fire load (reported as clothing/textiles) and a mezzanine inside have contributed to the fire behavior. The building has sustained a partial roof collapse. SYLMAR - On June 14-16, 2021 the Los Angeles Fire Department organized a multi-agency brush fire exercise near Veterans Memorial Park in Sylmar. Participants included Fire Departments from the cities of Burbank, Glendale, Los Angeles, Pasadena, the County of Los Angeles and Angeles National Forest, as these agencies frequently respond together along and near their jurisdictional borders in what are known as Mutual Threat Zones (MTZs). Training sessions took place on three separate days to assure
