SHELLmazing !! The True tulip is having a whelk for lunch. The True tulips are active predators… they hunt and eat other snails, including Whelks, Olive shells and Conchs. They use a strong proboscis and radula (tooth-like tongue) to attack and consume other gastropods. Whelks are also predators and scavengers. They eat clams, carrion, and sometimes other snails.
