RAPLOCH FISHERMEN SHEDS 1759 ON-WARDS Due to the death and famine in the Stirling area Earl of Mar sold Raploch Lands to the Cowane’s Hospital this allowed the Burgh Council then to make a decision to encourage salmon fishing on the Forth by feuing fourteen acres of Raploch into a series of two acre holding’s to help the local Economy.
