On the 19th of August 1745, Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his standard at Glenfinnan. Lochiel arrived with 600 men, MacDonald of Keppoch 350, and 150 Clanranald supporters under MacDonald of Morar. Less than a year later, on the 16th of April 1746, Charlie and his men made their doomed last stand at Culloden against the Duke of Cumberland and his Redcoat army.
