Caterpillar-of-the-Day Follow Along: Day 39/40 continued THIS IS A STRANGE ONE! A flannel moth caterpillar sheds its skin and dances to fluff up its protective mop of hair. The transformations that caterpillars go through are sudden and bizarre and this creature's shed stands out as one of the most visually curious of all. From our original post in 2016: "We got it!
