VCFD Engineer candidates training on wildland pumping operations with our new BME Type 3 engines. Engineer candidates undergo 3 weeks of intensive training in a complex variety of pumping evolutions. Engineers must be able to operate every type of apparatus in our fleet, and ensure an adequate supply and flow of water for all types of fires.
